Surrey Clubs' days Summer 09

Well I just came back from clubs' day at Surrey. It turns out not a lot of Surrey students go to school in the summer or not on Thursdays. Two IAT courses I'm taking are on Monday and Tuesday which are quite large so it would have been nice if clubs' day was then. Still it was not a bad day. At least 4 new members joined that were genuinely interested signed up. Two people joined that are not even students at SFU which is a first for us.

First Development Meeting

Wow, that was an awesome meeting! There were around 22 people that came to the meeting and most people were able to stay 3 hours. There were numerous project pitches which helped members practice pitching ideas and get feedback. One such pitch might turn into a club project.

Clubs' Day table

On Thursday January 15th we had a Clubs' Day table in the Academic Quadrangle to promote the club. We managed to attract a wide range of majors including business, psychology, and physics. There will also be a Clubs' Day table at SFU Surrey next week where you can sign up if you haven't already.
